Chanel Spring/Summer 2016 ready-to-wear collection – Paris Fashion Week

For the occasion, Lagerfeld  transformed the Grand Palais into a mock airport terminal complete with baggage check, numbered gates, a departures and arrivals board  which listing past Chanel destination show locales, and baggage carts stamped with double-C logos. In the front row were Chanel muses  : Lily-Rose Depp, Vanessa Paradis and Cara Delevigne.
And Edie Campbell opened the show in a multicolored tweed jumpsuit with silver sandals and a silvery headband, toting a black Chanel rolling suitcase and carryall.The airplane motif carried from the set onto the clothing and accessories, with one dress patterned like an arrivals board, and a sweater and pair of knit pants set in a repeating airplane intarsia. The red, white, and blue airplane pins that adorned some looks will make it possible for any ensemble to be ready for travel from the Chanel terminal.Many looks featured backward baseball caps. When they didn’t, the models’ hair was worn with several headbands and pulled back into two low pigtails at the nape of the neck.
Amidst the flowing dresses and loose casualwear came a section of proper ladies, ready to take to the sky in style. With sharply tailored tweed suits and iconic flap bags, these looks harkened back to a time when dressing up for travel was de rigueur.
And for his bow, Lagerfeld picked up two of his frequent collaborators from the front row, Delevingne and Hudson Kroenig  dressed as a Pilot, and walked with them around the set.

Fendi Haute Couture A/W 2015-2016 Collection – Haute Fourrure Collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi,
As he celebrates 50 years at the Italian brand, Karl Lagerfeld will be in the spotlight througout this prestigious week, and specifically on July 8. Rather than an haute couture presentation, this will actually be a show of ‘haute fourrure,’ meaning fur, filled with creations that are sure to dazzle the crowds.
It was the first Fendi’s Haute Couture Show.
French film icon and ardent animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot has already registered her disapproval by writing a letter to Choupette Lagerfeld, the designer’s pampered feline companion.

Fendi was alsways famous about fur and leather creations and the collection don’t surpise me at all, glam and luxury, fur coats which made Fendi famous all around the world.
Founded in 1925 in Rome, Fendi is renowned for its exquisite creations on fur and fur accessories.The house of Fendi was launched in 1925 by Edoardo and Adele Fendi,  as a fur and leather shop in Via del Plebiscito, Rome. The restoration works started June 2014. “It’s about tying us with a city that makes millions of people dream,” Fendi CEO Pietro Beccari said.

Chanel Haute Couture A/W 2015-2016 Collection – Karl Lagerfeld – The Genius!

Chanel Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 Collection was shown today morning, in Grand Palais.
Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais inside in the Chanel Haute Couture Casino.
Karl Lagerfeld has previously transformed the Grand Palais in Paris into an ice palace, a couture supermarket and an underwater wonderland for his Couture shows – so what the Genius Karl Lagerfeld had for today morning?
Here we are:
Karl Lagerfeld installed an entire working casino in Paris’s Grand Palais for the Chanel haute couture show this morning. It felt as if it had been there forever, testimony, surely, to this house’s power. Guests filed in and were met by fully operational one-armed bandits. Coins were provided. 555? Jackpot!
As if that weren’t enough, the lights went up and out came Geraldine Chaplin – styled as Coco Chanel – Julianne Moore in emerald velvet, Rita Ora in liquid silver, Kristen Stewart in a little black dress, Vanessa Paradis in shimmering gold, Stella Tennant, Lara Stone… The list went on. All took their seats at roulette tables centrally placed and overhung by chandeliers and began their games.
In fact, they were wearing a collection specifically aimed at celebrities. Perhaps the most extraordinary thing about this, the mother of all productions, then, was that when the first looks from the couture collection itself emerged the focus moved away from even this superstar line up and was directed entirely on these, the world’s most magical clothes.
The quilting on the opening sequence of Chanel suits was achieved blending the time-honoured craftsmanship of the couture ateliers with Selective Laser Sintering, a relatively new technique that gave garments a moulded and very slightly futuristic quality all while preserving the great Chanel codes. They were beautiful and in no way gimmicky.
These were followed by softer pieces in ivory, blush and eau de nil with crystal and feathered embroideries applied in the traditional manner that – equally – took the breath away.
As the aforementioned A-listers, gambling away happily throughout, went to prove, this is a house that caters to the needs of  the discerning customer of all tastes and ages: the more traditional among them may prefer a boxy jacket and straight, knee-length skirt, for example. She will be spoilt for choice. Her daughter, meanwhile, might go for bouncing, bell-shaped confections. Again, she won’t be disappointed. Moreover, that same lucky girl could – and some might argue should – decide to be married in a trouser suit as opposed to the traditional haute couture meringue. Kendall Jenner, the bride on this occasion, certainly showed how that might best be done.
Marvellous.
And the Casino night has never looked so chic.
We can safely hedge our bets that this was THE SHOW of Couture Week.

Chanel Paris-Salzburg  start to be a brand hit all around the world, worn by women who want be stylish and glamorous without sacrificing  comfort. The label focuses on creating dresses that make women, whatever their size or background, feel confident, comfortable and stylish.
