Chanel sets Havana for Cruis 2017 show

After Chanel’s Cruise 2016 show in Seoul ,Karl Lagerfeld happened to mention to company president Bruno Pavlovski  that he fancied Havana  for the next presentation. And Chanel Show  took place on Havana’s   most impressive street Paseo del Prado. With the setting harking back to Cuba’s golden era, the muted colours, hats and understated romance of the Chanel collection were a good fit for the Havana backdrop. By showcasing its Cruise collection in Cuba, Chanel said it was harking back to the roots of the line originally designed for wealthy Americans holidaying on yachts and cruises in the Caribbean to escape the winter grey.  For The Chanel Cruise 2017  Karl Lagerfeld  look to Cuba for inspiration, he put a french spin on cuban motifs and a caribbean spin on classic Chanel codes. The best looks matched sheer blouses with full skirts and flat sandals or pearl-clustered slides. Sometimes the sleeves were rolled, other times they were puffed – Modezar Karl  has shown us a perfect collection – the clothes that idealised the essence of cruisewear, something light and pretty to wear in Holiday.

„CK Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein are currently under the purview of global director Kevin Carrigan, whose name was not mentioned in the statement about Costa and Zucchelli’s departure. The company has stated that the new brand direction will touch every category of the business, which indicates that Raf Simons, if he is indeed appointed, will have complete creative control, something he is said to have coveted at Christian Dior, where men’s fashion, store concepts and beauty were overseen by other designers. Beauty products manufacturer Coty owns the license for Calvin Klein fragrances.“ ( Quote from Bussinessoffashion.com )
