It’s been a big week forZac Posen, first camehis Diffusion line presentation, after tahn debut collection for Brooks Brothers ans now,his signature collection.

“Lightness defines the collection,” said designer in the program notes for his spring/summer 2016 show.

Over the years he has extensively proved his love for event dressing. .

But Zac Posen seems to soften in his new collection by working precisely on many basic tones – navy, white, black – for his outfits which he makes timeless. A suit falls to perfection, a dress playing with transparency effects, a long gown following the undulations of the body. It exudes a new purity, perfectly coinciding with the desire for lightness during the summer.

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring/Summer 2016 ready-to-wear collection, namedn Stop and smell the Flowers was shown in NYFW, September 14,2015.

September 14,2015 Phillip Lim celebrated his brand’s tenth anniversary but it was not particularly celebratory and not a retrospective either. Lim decided to look forward and who can blame him when the future is looking good? With 3.1 Phillip Lim stores around the world and a reliable accessories line Lim and his co-founder Wen Zhou are taking a moment to stop and smell the flowers. That’s what they named this collection. Did the mounds of earth that made up the set symbolise staying down to earth or breaking new ground? They were an installation by the artist and environmentalist Maya Lin – so naturally, following the show the soil will be repurposed back into community gardens in the City.

Lim choosed the forest green, blue and sandy beige colours. The asymmetrical construction of many of the pieces spoke to the idea that in the natural world nothing grows in a straight line and everything is beautiful in its own way.

The only flowers that bloomed on Lim’s runway catwalk were those that flourished on printed fabrics or were embroidered onto garments. It’s true there was an organic richness to the designer’s chosen color palette of forest greens, blues and sandy beige. And the asymmetrical construction of many of the pieces spoke to the idea that in the natural world nothing grows in a straight line and everything is beautiful in its own way.

Jeremy Scott Spring/Summer 2016 ready-to-wear collection was shown in NYFW,September 14,2015

It was a mod world for Jeremy Scott’s spring/summer 2016 show presented during New York Fashion Week yesterday.

The collection was chock-a-block full of playful ‘60s references

it seems Jeremy Scott noted inspiration from the club scene and John Waters films with his colorful mix of shift dresses, crop tops, bikinis and retro-flavored separates. Models including Gigi Hadid, Stella Maxwell as well as Bella Hadid, each walked out with matching bouffant, super-teased wigs, orange lips and glued on nails with long talons.

The collection was chock-a-block full of playful ‘60s references.As always, Scott had some killer kitsch accessories such vintage-shaped TV bags , vibrant translucent bracelets and sunglasses.

Prabal Gurung Spring/Summer 2016 collection – „Ode to Nepal“ – New York Fashion Week

Prabal Gurung Spring/Summer 2016 ready-to-wear collection wasdescribed as Ode to Nepal and was shown September 13,2015 in NYFW.

Inspired by the Nepal earthquake earlier this year, designer Prabal Gurung dedicated his spring-summer 2016 runway show to his home country with a languid and elegantly chic collection.

Gurung showcased off-the-shoulder dresses, slouchy knitwear and ladylike separates for the upcoming season. Vibrant hues of orange, yellow and red were contrasted with tranquil black and white. For his final looks, the designer embraced sequin embellishments as well as billowing gowns with flared hemlines.

Diane von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2016 Fortuna collection – New York Fashion Week

Diane von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2016 ready-to-wear Fortuna collection was shown in NYFW,September 13, 2015.

Diane von Furstenberg chose as her muse for her Spring/Summer 2016 collection the Roman goddess Fortuna. She who represents luck, fortune, and fate. That could be a description of Diane von Furstenberg herself. DVF has spent a lifetime creating her own happiness, prosperity, and destiny.

Spring/Summer 2016 collection embraced dreamy dresses and cool draping that leans towards a Studio 54, 1970s moment. Diane von Furstenberg sent more that thirty Looks on the runway .

The colours such hot pinks, marigold yellows, lilacs, and shimmering golds gave the ensembles a steamy hot house sensuality. A notion accentuated by pleated grecian chiffon gowns topped off with strips of python or those covered in gold embroidered butterflies. If some of the mash up of multiple vibrantly-colored small motif silk printed dresses felt a tad too busy for most, they were smartly offset with more muted, but no less alluring, looks. A white tweed pantsuit and gold lace floor-skimming dress come immediately to mind.

DVF’s runway cast boasted of top models including Karlie Kloss, Irina Shayk, Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid and Lily Aldridge.
